Objective: To research the inhibition of raspberry extract on the proliferation ofhepatoma cell line SMMC-7721. Methods: In this study, hepatoma cell SMMC-7721wasused as experimental subjects. We used the methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium (MTT)colorimetry、trypan blue dye exclusion technique and cell morphology observation toevaluate the inhibition of raspberry extract on SMMC-7721. We also probed the optimalconcentration and time of raspberry extract. Results: The research shows that theproliferation of hepatoma cell line SMMC-7721was inhibited by raspberry extract in adose and time dependent manner. Starting from a concentration of80μg/ml, withincreasing concentrations of raspberry extract absorbance value decreased significantly. Ithas a significant difference compared with the low concentration group (P <0.01); Theinhibitory effect on the proliferation of human hepatoma SMMC-7721cells was enhancedwhen combined with cisplatin(P<0.05);The inhibition was more significant48h laterafter drug intervention(P<0.01).Conclusion: Raspberry extract inhibits the proliferationof SMMC-7721, and cisplatin could enhance the effect. It has the potential to be used as anew medicine in the treatment of hepatoma on integrative clinic. |
