| Abstract:Objective To investigate the abnormal thyroid function effect on anxiety, depressive emotion and quality of life. Methods The choice of2010July-2013year in July the Institute when checking the body found abnormal thyroid function, but there is no typical clinical symptoms in60patients, among them FT3, FT4increased, TSH decreased in30cases, as hyperthyroidism group; FT3, FT4decreased, TSH increased in30cases, as hypothyroidism group; at the same time30cases were selected by a medical decision normal thyroid function for healthy people as control group,using self rating Depression Scale (SDS) and self rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) to assess the patient’s psychological status, and assessed by SF-36scale and a concise assessment of quality of life (QOL) in patients with. Hyperthyroidism group received Thiamazole Tablets20-40mg/d treatment,1-4months of thyroid function returned to normal, hypothyroidism group was treated with levothyroxine treatment with25-150ug/d,1-4months of thyroid function returned to normal, after half a year, evaluation of two groups of patients with self rating Depression Scale (SDS), self rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and SF-36scale, and compared the scores with before treatment.Results Compared with the control group of patients with hyperthyroidism group, SDS scale score and SAS scale score was significantly higher, QOL score significantly lower, compared to the two groups, with statistically significant difference (P<0.05); compared with patients with hypothyroidism group and control group, SDS score and SAS scale score was significantly higher, QOL score was significantly lower, compared to the two groups, with statistically significant difference (P<0.05); after the improvement of thyroid dysfunction after six months treatment, hormone levels in hyperthyroid group and hypothyroidism group were recovered to normal, assessment of patients with SAS, SDS score and SF-36scale score again, were significantly improved.Conclusion Patients with abnormal thyroid function before the advent of the clinical manifestations of thyroid dysfunction, has been a decline in affective disorder and quality of life, and shows the coexistence of mild to moderate depression and anxiety disorder, After the improvement of thyroid function after treatment, patients with thyroid function returned to normal, anxiety and depression and quality of life of patients have obvious improvement. |
