Modified Zhisousan In The Treatment Of Cough Variant Asthma:Systematic Reviews And Meta-analysis

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Modified Zhisousan in the treatment of Cough Variant Asthma (CVA)Methods According to the system evaluation methods on Cochrane, we make retrieval strategy, and search all the randomized controlled trials(RCT) of cough variant asthma, including electronic retrieval VIP Chinese scientific journal database (VIP), China HowNet CNKI full text database (CNKI), Chinese biomedical literature database (CBM), Wanfang database, and manual retrieval Chinese journals, papers. In accordance with the inclusion and exclusion criteria, evaluate the quality of the studies, extract valid data,and then use the RevMan5.1.7software for data analysis.Results The16studies included1161evaluable patients with cough variant asthma, All the RCTs included were the high risk of bias. The meta analysis shows:Modified Zhisousan compared with conventional western medicine alone in the treatment of cough variant asthma, the former can significantly improve the efficiency rate of cough variant asthma (heterogeneity test showed that P=0.59,I2=0%; the combined effect of amount of OR=2.94,95%CI [1.92,4.52]; The combined effect of inspection showed Z=4.94, P<0.01), Modified Zhisousan and combined with western medicine compared with conventional western medicine alone in the treatment of cough variant asthma, the former can improve the efficiency rate of cough variant asthma (heterogeneity test showed that P=0.64, I2=O%; the combined effect of amount of OR=2.99,95%CI [1.62,5.52]; The combined effect of inspection showed Z=3.50, P<0.01), Both modified Zhisousan and that combined with western medicine can significantly reduce the recurrence rate of cough variant asthma (heterogeneity test showed that P=0.71, I2=O%; the combined effect of amount of OR=0.35,95%CI [0.15,0.79]; The combined effect of inspection showed Z=2.54, P<0.01), and significantly improve the symptoms of cough and pulmonary function, improve the related laboratory indexes.Conclusion According to the existing research:Modified Zhisousan and combined with western medicine Zhisousan and the cooperation of Chinese and Western medicine compared with simple western medicine in the treatment of cough variant asthma, the former can relieve clinical symptoms, improve the treatment efficiency, reduce the recurrence rate, improving the related laboratory indicators. The system analysis is in a limited number of studies, methodological quality is low, and there are potential publication bias, These can influent the conclusion reliability, we need large sample, multi center, randomized controlled clinical trial, to provide more accurate evidences for the treatment of CVA,and guide clinical practice.
