With the development of Chinese economy year by year, there is an increasing number of ownerships of cars, following by much more frequent car accidents which bring threat into our lives. Since craniocerebralinjury is the most serious injury of all types of traumas in this large amount of accidents, the research of craniocerebralinjury becomes one of the spotlights among scientists. In the research of craniocerebral biomechanics, scientists emphasize on the trauma caused by direct impact to the drivers’cerebral cranium, while less focus on the impact caused by the acceleration impact during the cars crash. This type of damage can also kill the drivers in accidents, the correlational approach could have an important practical significance.Human brain has a complicated anatomic structure. According to this, we will present a CT scan image of a healthy adult male and process with the method of reverse engineering to keep the details of craniocerebral structure. In this way, we have obtained the exact FEM (finite element method) models of cerebral cranium, skull, mandible, vertebra, muscle, etc. The whole model contains320,000elements and83,000nodes, the mass is6kg. All the material properties come from authoritative literatures. Using the technology of finite element accumulation, we analyzed the mechanics response of human cerebral cranium under acceleration impact induced from the car crashes. The thesis analyzes the brain’s response under five typical kinds of impact loads from three directions. The research indicates that a side knock can destroy human’s auditory sense and balance, even affect memory and language abilities; while a longitudinal impact can affect vision, hearing and smell, even cause a loss of consciousness; The vertical impact can injure cerebellum, and destroy human’s co-ordinary ability. This thesis has predicted the injured locations of cerebral cranium and the degrees of the traumas. It is very important for the prevention and treatment of craniocerebralinjury.
