Objective:Investigation Changchun hospitals operating room nurse core competencies, anddiscuss factors affecting its core competencies, the aim is to propose specificrecommendations and measures to enhance the core competence of operating roomnurses and improve the quality of care services reference.Methods:This study used convenience sampling method was selected in January2014toDecember Changchun three first class hospital340operating room nurses as researchsubjects. Survey tools include two parts: basic information questionnaire operatingroom nurses and registered nurses China Liu prepared core competency scale.EpiData3.0software uses to establish a database, SPSS17.0for statistical analysis.Statistical methods include: descriptive analysis, t test, analysis of variance andmultiple regression analysis.Results:1.Operating room nurse core competencies25.07Total170.39, is on the middle level.After conversion percentage, each scores from low to high Sort order: criticalthinking/research capacity,education/consulting capabilities,clinical care, interpersonal skills,leadership ability, ethical/legal practice ability, professional development capacity.2. The main factors affecting the ability of the core operating room nurses age,work experience, titles, administrative duties, education, employment nature, level,whether published papers and had taken the training of nurses.Operating room nurse core competencies of different ages and clinical carescores, interpersonal scores were significantly (P <0.05). Effects of different operatingroom nurses working life mainly in the core competence scores and scores on eachother (P <0.05). Different titles of operating room nurses, their core competencies alsoscored significantly different situation. In addition to educational/advisory capacitydimension, the different titles out of the operating room nurses and other core competencies of each dimension scores were significantly (P<0.05). Operating roomnurse total score and scores of core competencies significant difference (P<0.05)between the different administrative duties groups. Different initial academic corecompetency scores room nurses, clinical care, ethical/legal practice, specializing inthe development of the capacity dimension difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). In addition to the ethical/legal dimensions of practical ability, the highestlevel of education in different operating room nurses, and other dimensions of corecompetency score differences were not statistically significant. Grouped according tothe nature of the different employment, in addition to education/counseling outsidedimensions, operating room nurses and other core competencies of each score scoreswere significantly (P<0.05). Different levels of operating room nurses corecompetency scores, clinical care, leadership, interpersonal, ethical/legal practice,professional development ability scores were significantly (P <0.05). According topublished papers are grouped cases, in addition to educational/advisory capacitydimension, the operating room nurse core competency scores and scores of other alldifferences were statistically significant (P <0.05, P <0.01). According to theoperating room nurses participated in the training group situation, operating roomnurses core competencies ethical/legal practice, professional development,educational/advisory capacity scores were significantly (P<0.05, P<0.01).3. Multiple regression analysis showed that: the core competence ofadministrative duties operating room nurse, work experience, the impact of labor bynature.Nurses and compared with a teacher or nurse, core competencies in poorcondition; working life of16to20years and≤5years, compared with higher scoreslevel core competencies; compared to the preparation of nurses and nurse formalestablishment of the contract, the level of core competencies higher scores.Conclusions:1. Operating room nurse at the middle level core competencies, capable ofcurrent operating room nursing, need to be strengthened.2.Investigation operating room nurse in ethics/law practice, specializing in thedevelopment of a strong, poor critical thinking/research capacity levels.3.age, work experience, titles, administrative duties, education, employmentnature, level, whether publicly published papers and whether nurses participated in thetraining are the main factors affecting the core competence of operating room nurses. 4. Care Managers can improve operating room nurse critical thinking, scientificand rational scheduling, hierarchical culture, the establishment of the training system,the development of evaluation criteria and standardizing management andqualification and review operating room specialist nurses and other measures toimprove the core competencies of nurses core competencies.
