Objective: to sum up the vascular changes in patients with IBD based on DSAanalysis. Methods: mesenteric artery DSA images of122patients with IBD in the FirstAffiliated Hospital of PLA General Hospital from2012April to2013May wereretrospectively analyzed. There were80patients with UC and42patient with CD. Withthe assist of senior Interventional radiologists, analyze the images with the normalangiogram images of healthy people, find out the characteristic changes.Result: in the images of80patients with UC,74(92.5%) had thickened mesentericarteries,68(85%) had increased arterial branches,70(87.5%) had tortuous anddisordered arteries,62(77.5%) had deeply stained diseased intestinal segment. In theimages of42patients with CD,32(76.2%) had dilated lleocolic artery,34(85%) hadhyperchromatic end of the blood vessel,40(95%) had increased and tortuous vesselbranches. Conclusion: Abnormal changes occurred in vascular lesions of patients with IBDcan be accurately detected by DSA. These changes has a certain specificity, which canbe differentiated from the changes of other intestinal diseases, so DSA can provide somereference for the diagnosis of IBD.
