Objective:To compare menopause syndromes and quality of life (QOL)of women after surgical menopause with which after natural menopause.Methods:An institution-based cross-sectional study design was used,with25participants in surgical menopause group and25in natural menopause group.The Kupperman was used to access menopause syndromes and the WHOQOL-BREF was used to access QOL. Kupperman scores along with WHOQOL-BREF scores、FSH、E2level were compared between the twogroups.Correlation analysis between Kupperman index and WHOQOL-BREF was calculated.Results:1.In surgical menopause group,the incidence rate of menopause syndrome was92.0%,vasomotor was84.0%,psychosocial is80.0%,urogenital was36.0%,In natural menopause group,he incidence rate of menopause syndrome was68.0%,vasomotor was56.0%, psychosocial was44.0%, urogenital was12.0%, and these differences were significant (p<0.05);2. The average Kupperman score of surgical menopause group (10.5±2.0、10.6±1.6)was higher than natural menopause group (11.7±1.9、11.8±1.6)and the difference was significant (p<0.05);3. The average WHOQOL-BREF score of surgical menopause group(10.5±2.0、10.6±1.6) was lower than natural menopause group (11.7±1.9、11.8±1.6)and the difference was significant (p<0.05);4. There was negative correlation between Kupperman index and WHOQOL-BREF.Conclusion:In surgical menopause group, the incidence rate of menopause syndrome was higher, symptom was more severe and QOL was worse. There was negative correlation between the severity of menopause syndrome and QOL. Women who had undergone surgical menopause should be treated by hormone replacement therapy earlier.
