Paget’s Disease Of The Scrotum(Report Of21Cases)

Objective:To investigate the clinicopathologic features and treatment as well as prognosis of Pagetg disease of the scrotum.Methods:The data of21patients with Paget’s disease of the scrotum from2009to2013were retrospectively analyzed. The median age of these patients was65years. The median duration of the disease was76.6months. Frozen section were made in all cases to check the cutting edge during the operation.Chemotherapy or radiotherapy were not applied during or after operation.Results:Typical pathological features were observed in all the patients. All cases were I stage healing. Seventeen cases were followed up for4month to5years,of whom1case died from other diseases,1case is still alive after a second operation in our hospital, no recurrence or metastasis was found in all the cases followed up.Conclusion:The vital measure to cure Paget’s disease of the scrotum is to value it and take histological examination as soon as possible. The optimal treatment is radical excision for its good operative effect and satisfactory prognosis. During the operation, checking cutting edges should be assisted with rapid frozen section.
