Objectives: By subtle changes in the placenta before and after thetwo-dimensional image on the micro-bubble contrast agent imaging, thereby assessing placental structure, size, location, presence or absence ofabnormalities, such as providing more accurate ultrasound images. We canexpect to find a method to further improve diagnostic imaging ultrasounddiagnostic accuracy rate of placenta accreta, placenta previa, placentalabruption and other diseases, to assess the value of contrast-enhancedultrasound technique in diagnosis of placenta. Methods: Randomly selected12pregnant women which needabortion to participate in the study, All participants voluntarily and signedinformed consent. Of which eight pregnant women because of fetal organabnormalities or fetal chromosomal abnormalities need medical abortion, one pregnant woman with severe thyroid dysfunction requires abortion, andthe other pregnant women because abortion is no requirement fertilityindicators, one additional case of intraoperative findings of placenta accretamaternal also involved in the trial. SonoVue is selected as ultrasoundimaging tracer. Before the examination began, rapid intravenous injection of an ultrasound contrast agent was injected, and then progress of theSonoVue agent in the placenta was immediately observed, the ultrasoundimages before and after SonoVue injection were used to compare thesimilarities and differences by using the two-dimensional angiographyultrasonic equipment (PHILIPS IU-22), in order to determine whether theuse of contrast agents could improve the accuracy of ultrasound diagnosisof placental disease. Results: After the contrast agent injection, there is obvious echoenhancement in placental site, showing hyperechoic area, while themyometrium echo slightly lower than the placenta, fetal parts showed noecho. The comparison imaging, the placenta after contrast showed clearerlobular structure, location, size, and attachment site boundaries. Patientswith placenta accreta in its myometrium contrast images there is triangleabnormal signal found near to the endometrial line, the high echo ofendometrial line showed its continuously to the triangle high echo found, the rest of the myometrium still showing lower echo, uterine cavity showedno echo, but before the contrast agent injection, the image did not showsignificant difference between myometrium and uterine cavity, abnormaltriangle signal was not found. Conclusion: Our results could prove the use of ultrasound contrastagents improve placental site appearance, clearer than normal ultrasound toidentify placental structure, and the relationship of placental with the myometrium; in the other hand, fetal parts did not show appearance of thecontrast agent, this condition might prompt that the contrast agent did notpass through the placental barrier. Therefore contrast agent might have noharmful effects on the fetus.
