The Clinical Research Of On Treating Epilepsy With The Principle Of Suppressing Yang And Resolving Phlegm To Quench Wind

Epilepsy is a chronic of brain diseases,caused by a variety of pathogens,and with excessive discharge of neurons to cause recurrent,episodic and transient central nervous system dysfunction being characterized. Along with the population aging in our country in recent years, incidence of epilepsy in elderly population rising trend. This study was the Systematic observation of patients with epilepsy patients’ general information, clinical symptoms, quality of life, and provide theoretical and clinical guidelines for the clinical treatment of epilepsy.Objective:This study explores with Hou Shi Hei San,which suppress yang and resolves phlegm to quench wind, to discuss the theoretical basis for the treatment of epilepsy, and summarize the clinical experience,through in-depth observation of differences, in patients with epilepsy seizure frequency,the quality of life,a single western medicine treatment of adverse reactions before and after the study, and then broaden the treatments of epilepsy diagnosis with TCM.Methods:Choose 60 cases of epilepsy, randomly divided into experimental group with 30 cases and control group with 30 cases. Experimental group explores with Hou Shi Hei San of water decoction, a dose, and oral valproate,while the control group with oral valproate, 0.2 g each time, 2 times a day, once in the morning and night. Two groups were treated for 6 months, observing the differences before the treatment、two months later、four months later and after the treatment in patients of seizure frequency, the quality of life, the clinical symptoms,the single western medicine treatment of adverse reactions, and determine the clinical curative effect.Results:Due to poor patient compliance, shedding five cases, the experimental group of 27 patients while in the control group of 26 patients. After statistical analysis, the total efficiency of 100% in experimental group and the total efficiency of 92.3% in control group. The total efficiency of the two groups has no significant difference(P> 0.05). Experimental group has significant improvement in clinical symptoms, and significantly improves the quality of life of patients with epilepsy(P <0.01), while mitigating the adverse effects of western medicine(P <0.01).Conclusion:Hou Shi Hei San combined with sodium valproate or single valproic acid treatment, all can control seizure frequency, but Hou Shi Hei San can obviously improve the epilepsy patients quality of life, improve the clinical symptoms, reduce the antiepileptic drug adverse reactions. Hou Shi Hei San in the treatment of epilepsy patients achieves better clinical curative effects, and the long-term recurrence rate is low,with obvious advantages compared with western medicine.
