The Study Of Weizhong(BL40) Acupoint Before Qing Dynasty Clinical Application

Objective:Through sorting literature of Weizhong acupoint before Qing dynasty,summing up the ancient law of clinical application.Methods:Taking the research method of TCM philology and DM (data mining) as information retrieval source,the diseases that Weizhong can cure about acupuncture and moxibustion were retrieved.Using the Mircrosoft Office Excel Form to process data and create databases.Results:In 49 attending diseases treated by single Weizhong acupoints,17 kinds of advantageous diseases were screened,while in 69 attending diseases treated by compatibility therapy,22 kinds of high frequency compatibility prescription were screened.In 159 acupoints combined with Weizhong,the top ten acupoints are Kunlun,Zusanli,Quchi Hegu,Yaoshu,Shenshu,Renzhong,Jianyu,Huantiao,Yunmen.13 extra-acupoints, the top three acupoints are Shixuan,Jingbailao,Xiyan.Needling and Blood-letting therapy are the main operational methods.Conclusion:The results more comprehensively introduced the ancient clinical application status of Weizhong,which have significant reference value for today’ clinical and scientific research.
