| Purpose:Pulmonary arteriovenous fistu (PAVF) are rare pulmonary vascular anomalies.Blood goes through direct communications between the branches of pulmonary artery and pulmonary veins, without an intervening pulmonary bed. The PAVFs are usually congenital malformation, with the exception of very rare acquired cases.Asymptomatic patients are common and absence of symptoms does not preclude the diagnosis of PAVF.Because of paradoxical emboli, complications such as stroke and brain abscess may present.Contrast enhanced computed tomography is a valuable tool in diagnosis of PAVFs, it is a harmless and reliable method. Most PAVF patients should be treated. The treatments include syrgery resection and embolisation with coils or ballons. This research aims to learn about tje linical manifestation and diagnosis, imageology diagnosis and methods of treatments by analyzing the clinical cases. Methods:We study the six PAVF patients that treated by syrgery resection during2012January and2015February by analyse their linical manifestation and diagnosis, imageology diagnosis and treatment. Result:The six patients inculde three male and three female, age from26-66years old, mean40years old. All patients were treated by syrgery resection, five of the six received pulmonary lobectomy and one received pulmonary lobectomy and local excision. After surgery resection, all patients were released from dyspnea, cyanosis, hemoptysis, and other symptoms. Their arterial oxygen pression and arterial oxygen saturation all rised to normal. Follow up has showed no symptoms and recurrenee. Conclusion:The diagnosis and treatment are all developing throgh out time. When diagnosing patients with abmormal high red blood cell and hemoglobin, PAVF should be concerned.Contrast enhanced computed tomography or three dimensional (3-D) helical computed tomography are most widely used method for diagnosis of PAVFs.For all PAVFs patients with lesion ateries more than3mm in diameter, surgery resection should be done.Surgery resection is still the most reliable treatment for FAVF.While the result and recurrence of embolisation with coils or ballons should be further more studied. |
