Clinical Observation Of Huoxue Xiaozheng Decoction On Polycythemia Vera Of Qi Stagnation And Blood Stasis Type

Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of Huoxue Xiaozheng Decoction combined with hydroxyurea in the treatment of polycythemia vera of qi stagnation and blood stasis type,highlight the characteristics and advantages of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of PV,and provide new methods and new ideas for clinical work.Methods: 30 cases of PV with qi stagnation and blood stasis were randomly divided into two groups: observation group(15 cases)and control group(15cases).The control group was treated with hydroxyurea-based regimen,and the basic Huoxue Xiaozheng Decoction of the treatment group was observed.The clinical efficacy of the two groups was observed after 3 months of treatment.Results: 1.After treatment,the red blood cell count(RBC)and hemoglobin(HGB)in the two groups were lower than those before treatment(P < 0.05),and the difference in the efficacy between the observation group and the control group had statistical significance(P < 0.05).There were significant differences in white blood cell count(WBC)and hematocrit(HCT)after treatment(P < 0.05),but there was no significant difference(P > 0.05).Platelet count(PLT)and red blood cell distribution width(RDW)in the two groups before and after treatment were lower than before,the effect in the observation group had statistical significance(P < 0.05),while the effect in the control group had no statistical significance(P > 0.05).2.The risk of VTE in the two groups after treatment was lower than before,but there was no statistical difference between the two groups(P > 0.05),which was considered to be related to the small sample size in this study.3.Comparison of curative effect of TCM: After treatment,the TCM scores of the two groups were lower than those before treatment,and the effective rate(93.33%)was higher than that of the control group(53.33%),and the difference had statistical significance(P < 0.05).4.Clinical efficacy of western medicine:The ORR of the observation group(46.67%)was higher than that of the control group(13.33%),and the difference had statistical significance(P < 0.05).5.MPN-10 symptom burden score: After treatment,the scores of the two groups were lower than those before treatment,and the efficacy of the observation group was better than that of the control group,and the difference had statistical significance(P < 0.05).Conclusion: Huoxue Xiaozheng Decoction combined with hydroxyurea-based treatment can significantly improve the hematological parameters,western medicine clinical efficacy,TCM score and symptom load of PV patients with qi stagnation and blood stasis type,improve the quality of life of patients,reduce the incidence of thrombosis and the efficacy is significantly better than western medicine alone.In the treatment process,infection,liver and kidney function damage,thrombosis,bleeding and other side effects occur,with reliable safety.
