Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of the spastic cerebral palsy who are treated by the treatment of acupuncture combined with rehabilitation and to explore the value and significance of acupuncture in the treatment of children with cerebral palsy.Method:According to the parents’voluntary principles, we collected 60 cases of cerebral palsy who met the inclusion criteria. These children are divided into two groups, each group has 30 patients. The treatment group is treated by the treatment of acupuncture combined with rehabilitation; the control group is treated by the simple rehabilitation. The two groups’children are treated three times every week. We looked the three months as an observation period. All patients were assessed by the MAS, the GMFM and the PDMS-2 before the treatment, after one month’s treatment and three months’treatment. We observe the influences made by the two treatments on the spasticity, the gross motor function and the grip ability of the cerebral palsy through the situation of integral’s change, then to compare the clinical efficacy of the two treatments.Results:1. The changes of the limb spasticity’s aspects:After treating for one month, there is no difference within the two groups or between them. After three months’treatment, the scores of the two groups are better than treatment of before and after one month’s treatment; between the two groups, the treatment group is better, which is statistically significant, showing that the treatment group is better than the control group in terms of improvement in spasticity.2. The changes of the gross motor function areas:① After treating for one month, to compare within the two groups, two of them are better than before, which are statistically significant; between the two groups, there is no significant. After three months, the scores of the two groups are better than treatment of before and after one month’s treatment, which are statistically significant; between the two groups, the treatment group is better, which is statistically significant (P<0.01), showing that efficacy of the children with cerebral palsy who are treated by acupuncture combined with rehabilitation are better than the simple rehabilitation in the gross motor function areas.② The comparison results of the clinical efficacy about the Gross Motor Function:After treating for one month, in the treatment group:0 cases is markedly effective,8 cases are effective, the total efficiency is 26.67%; in the control group:0 cases is markedly effective,2 cases are effective, the total efficiency is 6.67%; comparing the two groups’efficacy, the efficacy of the treatment group is better than the control group. After treating for three months, in the treatment group:7 cases are markedly effective,18 cases are effective, the total efficiency is 83.33%; in the control group:0 cases is markedly effective,22 cases are effective, the total efficiency is 73.33%; comparing the two groups’efficacy (P<0.01), the efficacy of the treatment group is better than the control group.3. The improvement of the grip ability:after treating for one month, there is no difference within the two groups or between them, meaning there is no difference on the improvement of the ability to grip after one month’s treatment between two groups. After treating for three months, the scores of the two groups are better than treatment of before and after one month; between the two groups, the treatment group is better, showing that treatment group is better than the control group.Conclusions:1.Acupuncture combined with rehabilitation and rehabilitation alone can improve the degree of spasticity in children with spastic cerebral palsy, gross motor and grasping ability.2. Acupuncture and rehabilitation in spasticity, gross motor and grasping ability in children with spastic cerebral palsy improve better than rehabilitation.
