| Objective:To observe the effects of acupoint catgut embedding therapy on mouse model with primary dysmenorrhea, and to investigate and verify its analgesic mechanism, curative effect and advantages in clinic treatment, which provide an effective and convenient way and reliable experimental data in treating primary dysmenorrhea. To relieve the symptoms of patients with primary dysmenorrhea and improve their fitness, living standard and psychological quality.Methods:40 non-pregnant female mice of primary dysmenorrhea model induced by oxytocin were randomly divided into four groups with 10 in each:blank group, model group, the aspirin group and the acupoint catgut embedding group. The torsion times, torsional incidence, the plasma content of PGE2 and PGF2a, the ratio of PGF2a and PGE2 of mice in each group were detected and recorded to set up a database. The software SPSS 17.0 was applied to analyze the database. Results:Compared to the blank control group, the model group within 20min increased remarkably(P< 0.01),the PGE2 content in mice plasma decreased significantly(P< 0.05), the PGF2acontent increased remarkably(P< 0.01), the ratio of PGF2a and PGE2 increased significantly(P< 0.01).Differences were statistically significant.Compared to model group, the aspirin group within 20min decreased remarkably(P< 0.01),the PGE2 content in mice plasma increased significantly(P<0.05), the PGF2acontent decreased remarkably(P<0.01), the ratio of PGF2a and PGE2 decreased significantly(P< 0.01); the torsion times of the acupoint catgut embedding group within 20min decreased remarkably(P< 0.01),the PGE2 content in mice plasma increased significantly(P< 0.01), the PGF2acontent decreased remarkably(P<0.01), the ratio of PGF2a and PGE2 decreased significantly(P< 0.01). Differences were statistically significant. However, there was no statistically significant difference between the aspirin group and the acupoint catgut embedding group (P> 0.05)Conclusions:â‘ The acupoint catgut embedding therapy have favorable analgesic effects on mouse model with primary dysmenorrhea.â‘¡The acupoint catgut embedding therapy can effectively regulate the synthesis and release of PGE in mouse model of primary dysmenorrhea. â‘¢The acupoint catgut embedding therapy have favorable effects on primary dysmenorrhea. The advantages include relatively less treatment, longer treatment interval, more significant effect, less side-effects and higher safety factors. However, it requires high operative technique, complex process and valuable cost. |
