Clinical Study Of Tongxinluo And Combined With Statins In The Treatment Of Carotid Artery Plaque

Objective: To observe the clinical curative effect of Tongxinluo and combined with statins in the treatment of carotid artery plaque, by carotid artery plaque ultrasonography and the clinical biochemical indexes.Methods: The clinical patients in 108 cases of carotid artery plaque as the object of study; they were randomly divided into Tongxinluo group, statins group and combined group. Detect the plasma levels of carotid artery plaque ultrasonography and clinical biochemical index at baseline as hypersensitive C-reactive protein(hs-CRP), and detect 1 year after and the end of the study again.Results: 1. On intima-media thickness(IMT), short axis area of carotid artery plaque(SS) and long axis area of carotid artery plaque(LS), the combined group is better than the Tongxinluo group, they were better than statins group; numerical changes are time-varying in each group(P<0.05); the difference between groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).2.(1).On CRP and INR, the combined group is better than the Tongxinluo group, they were better than statins group; numerical changes are time-varying in each group(P<0.05), the difference between groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).(2). On the blood lipid, especially the low density lipoprotein(LDL), three groups of inner numerical changes with time are not unified, no statistically significant difference between the three groups(P>0.05).(3). On the CK and glutamic-pyruvic transaminase(ALT), the combination group compared with the single drug group increased obviously, the difference between groups was statistically significant(P<0.05), but the numerical changes are time-varying about CK.Conclusion: 1.Tongxinluo combined with statins can reduce the CRP in patients with carotid artery plaque to improve endothelial function and improve atherosclerosis, the effect is better than single drug therapy; combination group was better than single drug on decreasing the INR; Tongxinluo plays the major role in these two aspects. 2. Tongxinluo combined with statins improve blood lipid levels was less intensive than atorvastatin group, and they were better than Tongxinluo group.
