Objective: To improve the diagnosis and treatment of MPMNs by studying their clinical characteristics, pathogenesis,pathological types,stages, treatment strategies and prognosis.Methods: 30 patients of MPMNs admitted to the Department of Medical Oncology,Shandong university of Chinese traditional medicine’s affiliated hospital between Jan 2012 and Dec 2014 were studied retrospectively.The relationship between clinical data and prognosis of MPMNs was analyzed by SPSS 17.0.Results: 30 cases of multiple primary cancer patients, there are 14 males and 16 females, male to female ratio was 12:13.The first malignancy patients’ age range is 29-79 years, their mean age is 56.53 years old.The second primary malignancies patients’ s age range is 41-80 years, their mean age was 63.5 years old. The interval for the first and second primary malignant cancer is 0-37 years, and the second to the third is 2-5 years. In this paper, 30 cases of primary malignant neoplasms more patients, while multiple primary malignancies has six cases, accounting for 20%, metachronous multiple primary malignancies has 24 cases, accounting for 80%. There are 28 cases duplex primary malignant neoplasms and 2 cases triple primary malignant neoplasms. There are 4 cases involving the same organ or system, accounting for 13.33 percent. The four cases all involved the digestive system and the duplex primary malignant neoplasms.Conclusion: The common locations of MPMN were digestive system. Recurrence of multiple primary malignant neoplasm and metastatic carcinoma, carcinoma of identification is of great significance for clinical.
