Objective Through the survey of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)syn drome of the patients who were diagnosed as GDM with the new diagnostic cr iteria, to understand the distribution rules of TCM Syndromes of GDM patients. Using the syndrome clustering analysis to obtain the TCM syndrome type, and gained syndrome elements by syndrome differentiation, then use the syndrom e factor principal component analysis to get the TCM syndrome type of GDM.Then the distribution of TCM Syndromes of GDM is verified by two statistical methods. Methods A cross-sectional study was conducted for patients with GDM,thr ough the self-made Patients with gestational diabetes mellitus in Zhengzhou in TCM syndrome questionnaire(see Appendix 1) during the 2013 Dec ~2015 yea r in February on the perinatal care outpatient regular antenatal examination and diagnosis in the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of TCM,the con tent of the investigation are the general data and clinical symptoms. Then input and establish the SPSS database of the results by SPSS software. All data wer e processed by SPSS21.0 statistical software, then were divided into descriptive statistics and statistical analysis of the two part, quantitative data with normal distribution with mean and standard deviation to describe, does not meet the normal distribution using the median and four percentile interval for statistical description, qualitative data by frequency and describe the constituent ratio; Aft er analyzing the syndromes by cluster analysis and frequency analysis, the GD M syndrome factor combination were analyzed by the analysis method of main component factor. Results 138 effective questionnaire were enrolled in this research, statistic al results are as follows: ①the number of 20~30 years old between GDM patie nts accounted for the total number of 54%, the average age was 29 years, the G DM who like sweets accounted for 32%, with a family history of diabetes acc ounted for 12% of the total.②The syndromes appeared in the top ten of Patien ts with GDM are:amnesia(83.3%), exhausted(83.3%), soreness and weakness of waist and knees(81.8%), back pain(61.6%), fatigue(59.4%), moss white(54.3%), dizziness(52.9%), pulse fine(51.4%), often constipation or dry stool(47.8%), light tongue(47.1%).③The cluster analysis on common syndrome: The he avy sensation of head, mouth sticky, abdominal distension, diarrhea, loose stool s or expansion often drowsiness, leucorrhea and thin, tongue has tooth mark,l ong do not desire to eat;Dizziness and palpitation;Dreaminess, soreness and we akness of waist and knees, often fear cold, long-term frequent micturition, forg etfulness, lumbago, spontaneous or easy sweating, night urination, pale tongue, moss white, cold limbs, ringing in the ears, mouth thirst, oliguria or clear long, malaise, fatigue, shortness of breath, spiritlessness; zygomatic red, often const ipation or dry stool, dysphoria heat, dry throat, dry eye, polyphagia hunger, he ctic fever and fever, thirst, insomnia, hectic fever, night sweats, red tongue, ye llow moss, upset, or impatient irritability, emaciation; depression or anxiety, lik e a sigh, belching, stool pond node, tightness in the chest.④Make the syndrom e differentiation of all the syndrome elements to obtain 8 syndrome elements, by the frequency from high to low are: kidney, deficiency of qi, deficiency o f yin, deficiency of yang, spleen, liver, wet, qi stagnation; Through the syndrom e factor combination and frequency analysis can get: deficiency of kidney in 39 cases, 50 cases of deficiency of kidney qi, deficiency of both qi and Yin in 27 cases, spleen wet storm in 12 cases,5cases of patients stagnation of liver q i, deficiency of both qi and Yin, kidney yin deficiency in 2 cases, deficiency of liver and kidney in 2 cases, 1 cases of deficiency of liver yin.⑤Principal c omponent analysis of syndrome elements: draw 4 principal components with eig envalues greater than 1, and the cumulative contribution rate is 85.77%, the rel ationship between the first principal component Z1 and kidney, qi deficiency, Y ang deficiency of original variables closely; the second principal component Z2 and kidney, yin deficiency of original variables most closely; the third princip al component Z3 and qi deficiency the close relationship between the fourth, yin deficiency; principal component Z4 with the original variables, the close relat ionship between spleen wet. Conclusion ①The incidence of GDM in patients with an average age of 29 years; 12% GDM patients have the potential to familial and genetic tendency, and GDM patients, food habits during pregnancy are not reasonable, so a prop er diet and exercise intervention is indeed necessary for them.②Amnesia, lassit ude, soreness and weakness of waist and knees, back pain, fatigue, dizziness, moss white, pulse fine, often constipation or dry stool, pulse fine as the main top ten high TCM syndromes;③The GDM TCM syndrome types were gained by Clustering analysis of syndromes, which include kidney yin deficiency, kidn ey qi deficiency, qi and yin deficiency, spleen deficiency damp, stagnation of l iver Qi etc.④GDM syndrome factor: kidney, spleen, liver; disease syndrome: Q i, yin deficiency, Yang deficiency, qi stagnation and dampness. Principal compo nent analysis showed that GDM syndrome of TCM syndromes may include kid ney yin deficiency, kidney qi deficiency, yin deficiency, spleen deficiency and dampness.⑤By reference common TCM syndrome diagnostic criteria, GDM and TCM syndrome research, we can know that: kidney qi deficiency, kidney yin deficiency, deficiency of both qi and Yin, deficiency of spleen dampness are G DM main TCM syndromes.
