Objective:Galvanizing the Pure magnesium after ultrasonic micro-arc oxidation(MAO),to investigate the biocompatibility of the osteoblast and evaluate the biocompatibility of the pure magnesium by micro-arc oxidation and zinc coated.Methods:Prepare the pure magnesium into rounded pieces of φ10 mm x 1.5 mm,and prepare the zinc coating on pure magnesium by MAO and zinc coated.The experiment is divideded into three groups:Group A is the group by ultrasonic micro-arc oxidation(MAO),Group B is MAO by zinc coated 10min(MAO-Zn),Group C is MAO by zinc coated 10 min after alkali treatment(MAO-NaOH-Zn).(Group A is a controlgroup,while Group B and C are experiment group).To measure and study the form and constituent of the surface of every test-piece seperately by scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and energy spectrum analysis(EDS).Then Observe the early form of osteoblast by confocal laser scanning microscope(CLSM).To detect the proliferation and the ALP viability of cells by CCK-8.Results:The surface of the test-pieces by MAO were rough,polyporous,uneven,the main elements contain Mg, O, Si,,Zn.The results from SEM and CLSM showed that the growth and adherency of cells in Group C and Group B were better than Group A,Group C was better than Group B,while the results from CCK-8 and ALP showed that the proliferation\viability of the cells in 3 groups were Group C>Group B>Group A,differences in theree groups possess statistical significance.Conclusions:The pure magnesium by MAO and zinccoated possess good biocompatibility, and the one added alkali treatment were better.
