Objective To investigate the influences of the Soluble Interleukin 2 Receptor, the Interferon-γ, the Humanβ- the Defensin 2 and the Monocyte chemoattractant protein-1, meanwhile, to analysis the function of these cytokines in the infection degree and evolvement process on Pulmonary tuberculosis, the contents of these cytokines in the serum of TB patients have been detected. Methods The number of 43 Tibetan Pulmonary tuberculosis patients and 41 the healthy Tibetans with the same physical examination were respectively chosen as the case and control group. The method of double antibody sandwich ELISA was used to test the contents of the Soluble Interleukin 2 Receptor, the Interferon-γ, the Humanβ- the Defensin 2 and the Monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 in the serum and analysis the relationship between the different sex, different groups of age and the sputum smear examination with these cytokines in the case group. Results This study collected the pulmonary tuberculosis patients with infiltrative pulmonary tuberculosis(type III) cases accounted for 72.09%. In the case group, the contents of the Soluble Interleukin 2 Receptor, the Interferon γ, the Humanβ- the Defensin 2 and the Monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 are 345.01±92.92pg/ml, 234.84±51.40pg/ml, 238.24±44.26ng/L and 251.01±64.71ng/L sepreately. And the expression level of these cytokines in the case group is higher than that in the control groups(P < 0.01). Compared with the group of Sputum smear negative, the contents of these cytokines in the group of Sputum smear positive are significantly increased(P < 0.01). There are no significance in different sex and age in the case group(P >0.05). Conclusions The expression level of Soluble Interleukin 2 Receptor, the Interferon-γ, the Humanβ- the Defensin 2 and the Monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 of Tibetan TB patients were evidently increased so these cytokines may be related to the infection degree and evolvement process of pulmonary tuberculosis.
