Objective: Chronic atrophic gastritis is a common disease of the digestive system. A large number of studies have shown that Chinese medicine in promoting atrophic gastric mucosa gland cell metabolism and reducing the disease recurrence rate has a certain advantage, which mainly depends on the effective guidance of TCM syndrome standards to clinical doctors. However, currently TCM syndrome of chronic atrophic gastritis lack of unified standards, thus treatment of this disease by using the Chinese medicine is short of normativeness and effectiveness. To further summarize the charaeteristies of TCM syndrome, diagnosis and prescription of CAG, based on it then discuss the relationship between syndrome type and different pathological changes, finally to investigate the standard treatment of the CAG. This study will provide strong evidence for clinical and scientific research. Methods: This research is composed by two parts of the literature and clinical studies.Through collection and quantitative analysis of literature about TCM treatment of CAG and relevant clinical information of 100 patients of CAG, the TCM syndromes characteristics, diagnosis and prescription regulations of CAG were investigated. The evidence-based distribution as a function of age, course of the disease, with or without IM and/or Dy and other relevant factors was analyzed. Results: There are five syndrome types most common based literature analyses:weakness of the spleen and stomach, incoordination between the liver and stomach, insufficiency of stomach yin, damp-heat obstructing in spleen and stomach, blood stasis in gastric venation.Commonly used Prescription for weakness of the spleen and stomach syndrome is Xiang sha Liu jun zi soup. Common]y used Prescriptions for incoordination between the liver and stomach Syndrome are Chai Hu Shu Gan San and Jin Ling Zi San. Commonly used Prescriptions for insufficiency of stomach yin syndrome are Yi Guan Jian or Sha Shen Mai Dong Soup. Commonly used Prescriptions for damp-heat obstructing in spleen and stomach syndrome are Qing Zhong soup. Commonly used Preseriptions for Gastric collateral stasissyndrome are Shi Xiao San or Dan Shen Yin. C1 inical studies have shown that the patients of less than 35 years old account for the lowest proportion and the patients of 50-65 years old account for the highest proportion in the total sample. The distribution of each card type between different pathology has significant difference((P<0.05). Five TCM syndromes distribution and with or without IM and/or Dy of pathological have a certain relationship. The positive of without IM and/or Dy include weakness of the spleen and stomach, incoordination between the liver and stomach, damp-heat obstructing in spleen and stomach, insufficiency of stomach yin. The positive of with IM and/or Dy include only blood stasis in gastric venation.Clinical studies the frequency of the card-type followed byweakness of the spleen and stomach, incoordination between the liver and stomach, damp-heat obstructing in spleen and stomach, insufficiency of stomach yin, blood stasis in gastric venation. Conclusion: The results of clinical case study were similar to the literature. In this study, the syndrome characteristics of CAG were summarized, and the correlation between with or without IM and/or Dy and the syndromes were revealed. Local pathological characteristics of CAG can imply macroscopic syndrome differentiation of syndrome of CAG. Its differentiation syndrome and different pathological changes have a close relationship, however sometimes they are seperate to each other. The mechanism feartures of CAG localized lesions can provide a reference for clinical medicine. In this study, we proposed a new type of TCM syndrome of treatment guideline of CAG that promoting atrophic glands cell regeneration at local, but also according to the macro make the whole a balance of Yin and Yang, making the whole and partial unifies.
