Objectives In ephedra fingerprint chromatographic peak area and peak area ratio,ephedrine and pseudoephedrine content, ephedra sweating biological potency as index,and based on the fuzzy mathematics and analytic hierarchy process(AHP) construct th e ephedra authentic quality comprehensive evaluation model.Methods42 batches ephedra samples come from different origins were analyzed with HPL C/UV. The chromatographic fingerprint of ephedra was established and simĪ¼ltaneous determination of ephedrine and pseudo-ephedrine. Similarity analysis and hierarchical cl ustering analysis was utilized to analysis the fingerprints of the herba ephedrae sample s.The bioassay method of ephedra was established and sweat points of rats foot pla ntar as examining index.Setting sweating biological potency of ephedra, the index component content conte nt, fingerprint mainly mutual unimodal chromatographic peak area and its proportion a s evaluation factors and ephedra samples come from different origins as evaluation obj ect to establish the evaluation matrixes of single factor. Using Analytic Hierarchy Proc ess(AHP) determine the weights of the various indicators.Ephedra authentic quality co mprehensive evaluation model was built, and it was used for different popĪ¼lation cha racteristic value of the quality of ephedra.Results The content of total alkaloid was 1.5703%(Ephedra sinica) and 1.9185%(Ephedraintermedia) and 0.05915%(Ephedra przewalskii).By analyzing common peak, ephedra sinica ephedrine average peak area is the largest, with 4 peak of 8619.426, followed by 7 peak area, an average of 7259.765;Ephedra intermedia and Ephedra przewalskii to 7 peak area biggest, peak area average of 13163.98 and 23929.2 respectively.Eph edra each common peak of total peak area ratio, the largest proportion of No.7 peak, in 42 samples of ephedra, an average of 38.532%,No. 4, 5, peak of ephedrine and ps eudoephedrine atlas peak, on average 17.528% ephedrine and pseudoephedrine average 24.940%, together accounting for 42.468%.The Similarity evaluation show that 42 ori gin of ephedra herbs similarity between 0.319 ~ 0.959.Clustering analysis can identify ephedra species effectively.The bioassay method of ephedra was established and measured in 26 different gr oup of ephedra herbs sweating titer.Analysis different group of ephedra sweating effect value, the average higher than that of ephedra intermedia,ephedra sinica sweating tit er average 14.2978 U/g,ephedra intermedia in 11.2274 U/g, the value greater than eph edra controlled medicine unit mass sweating effect value.It set up a comprehensive fuzzy evaluation model for evaluation quality of ephedr a,and using the model, obtained the 34 different population characteristic value of the quality of ephedra.By different group of TQI worth, TQI value of ephedra in jingchu an,Gansu, as the largest;This value of Ephedra sinica in gulang and youyu and ephe dra intermedia in longde and jingtai are bigger also, between 0.7 to 0.8;The rest of t he 29 different group of ephedra herbs TQI values are below 0.6.ConclusionsThe ephedra fingerprint, index component content, and sweating efficacy were combined,adopting the theory of fuzzy sets and AHP method,it sets up a comprehensive evaluation model for evaluating the quality of ephedra, this method overcomes the shorting comings of the methods in which only some single evaluation quality of ephedra,able to provide comprehensive evaluation research of the traditional Chinese medicine authentic quality reference.
