Abstract/Summary:
Objective: Treating colorectal cancer by fast track surgery(FTS) whether has advantages than traditional scheme in terms of efficacy and cost.Materials and Methods: I selected 60 patients of colorectal cancer in Gastrointestinal Surgery of the Affiliated Hospital of Qinghai University from January 2013 to December 2013.These patients were randomly divided into two groups. Observation groupwere given FTS program, While the control group were received conventional therapy. At last,I compared the two groups of patients in the recovery of gastrointestinal exhaust time, postoperative hospital stay, total hospital days, total cost of hospitalization and complications. Results: The time of gastrointestinal recovering exhaust of the Observation group is lower than that of the control group( P<0.01).Postoperative hospital stay and hospital stay of the observation group was significantly shorter than that of the control group, the difference was significant(P<0.01).Hospital costs of the Observation group was significantly shorter than that of the control group, the difference was significant(P <0.01).Observation group and control group had no significant difference in complications(P=0.306). Conclusion: Treating patients of colorectal cancer by fast track surgery can accelerate postoperative recovery, shorter hospital stay and postoperative hospital stay, reduce medical costs incurred, does not increase lung infections, wound infections, urinary tract infections and other complications.
