objective:To evaluate the clinical efficacy of radiofrequency ablation combined with125 I seed implantation for treatment of gastric metachronous liver metastases. Methods: Select from January 2006 to January 2010, patients with gastric cancer, the First Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University of radical gastrectomy, postoperative total of 63 cases of metachronous metastasis. According to the different treatment of metastatic liver cancer is divided into radiofrequency ablation combined with 125 I seed implantation group, 18 patients, 25 patients with systemic chemotherapy alone, 20 cases of surgical resection group. Radiofrequency ablation combined with 125 I seed implantation therapy combined with chemotherapy group. Systemic chemotherapy alone group were using oxaliplatin combined Gio program: oxaliplatin for injection130 mg / m, dissolved in glucose solution 250 ml, intravenous infusion on day 1, Gio40 mg / m, orally, BID, days 1-14 every 3 weeks for a course of treatment. Conventional surgery group were to be fluid, liver, nutritional support, pain, bleeding, anti-infection treatment, supplemented SOX program or m DCF chemotherapy. Comparative study of three different treatment regimens term efficacy and 1-year, 3-year and 5-year survival rate. Results:Each group ALB, AST, ALT, CEA, AFP’s showed no significant difference,P > 0.05. Radiofrequency ablation combined with 125 I seed implantation group efficacy and surgical resection group quite higher than the systemic chemotherapy group, the number of metastases and reduced diameter compared with chemotherapy group, P<0.05. After 1 year of treatment efficacy of radiofrequency ablation combined with 125 I seed implantation group total effective rate was 66.7%, chemotherapy group, the total effective rate 32.0%, P <0.05, the results significantly. All patients were followed up for5 years, radiofrequency ablation combined with 125 I seed implantation group, 1-year survival with chemotherapy alone group and surgery group was 88.9%, 68%, 85.0%, P<0.05; 3-year survival rate was 5.5%, 4.0%, 10.0%, P <0.05; 5-year survival rates were5.5%, 0%, 10.0%, P<0.05; mean survival time was 19.5 ± 3.2(month), 14.6 ± 1.5(month), 21.6 ± 3.7(month), P<0.05; median survival time was 16.5 months, 13.5months, 16.8 months, P<0.05; progression-free survival was: 11.1 months, 8.2 months,14.1 months, P<0.05. After treatment, the quality of life of radiofrequency ablation combined with 125 I seed implantation was higher than surgical resection group than systemic chemotherapy group, P<0.05. Cases radiofrequency ablation combined with125 I seed implantation group had adverse reactions with surgical resection and systemic chemotherapy group fairly, the difference was not significant, P> 0.05.Conclusion:Term effect of radiofrequency ablation combined with 125 I seed implantation treatment of gastric cancer liver metastasis was significantly better than chemotherapy group, and 1-year, 3-year, 5-year survival rate with surgery group quite higher than chemotherapy alone, because Invasive, well tolerated, more effective, worthy of clinical application of the comprehensive treatment.
