Objective: To detect the expression of activation-induced cytidine deaminase( AID) in malignant melanoma tissue and to evaluate the clinic significance and its relationship with melanoma invasion 、metastasis、prognosis and BRAF mutations. Methods: Immunohistochemistry was carried out to quantify the expression of AID in paraffin-embedded tissue samples from 80 cases of MM and 23 cases of nevi. The relation between protein expression and Clinical pathological features was analyzed by spss Data analysis software in these lesions. Results:Immunohistochemistry revealed that the expression rate of AID was 53.75%(43/80)in melanoma tissue.compared to 13.04%(3/23)in nevus tissue(P<0.05).The AID expression was positively correlated with clinical type, lymph node metastasis, Clark grade, depth of invasion, but uncorrelated with the Age、gender and ethnicity.(P>0. 05) 17 cases were positive for AID protein expression occurred in 19 cases BRAF mutant melanoma tissues, including melanoma AID protein in 15 cases of BRAFV600 E mutation were positive expression. Conclusions:AID proteins may be involved in the invasion and metastasis of melanoma, and prognosis, which could induce the BRAF mutation of melanoma, is a potential prognostic marker. The correlation between AID and mutated BRAF for melanoma targeted therapy provides a theoretical basis...
