Object: To investigate the change modality of iodine concentration in arterial phase and portal phase by dual energy spectral CT in cirrhotic patients of different Child- Pugh grade. Methods: 1、Ninety cirrhotic patients with portal hypertension were selected retrospectively into our study group.30 cases were in Child- Pugh grade A,30 in grade B,and 30 in grade C.The control group consisted of 18 cases with normal liver functionality. The material decomposition images with water and iodine as basic material pairs were reconstructed using the HDCT spectral software package. The iodine concentrations of the left lateral lobe, left medialis lobe, right lobe and the caudate lobe were measured in the arterial and portal vein phases using the iodine-based material decomposition images. The result from the study and control groups were compared using the analysis of variance. Results: All groups were significant(P<0.05), except the iodine concentration in the left lateral lobe and the caudate lobe of Child-puge group A compared with control group showed in arterial plase. In portal phase, the difference of iodine concentration between the study and control groups was found statistically significant(P<0.05) except Child-puge group A with control group, and the iodine concentration trended to be decrease by the study groups. Conclusion: The iodine concentration were significant in arterial plase and portal phase in the different Child-puge grades and control group, which are helpful for the diagnosis of liver.
