Objectives:This research explore into the clinical effects and mechanism of action of Impediment-Diffusing and Vessel-activating Decoction(IDVAD) which is invented by a senior Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) doctor Yuan Ming-zhong. IDVAD is expected to be a therapy to hypofunction of Yang-Qi in chest in coronary heart disease and Syndromes of Selongs to the Syndrane of Stagnation of Cardiac vessels. It validates its positive effects upon blood fat and will be applied as long-term pharmaceutical preparation within the hospital. Methods:The subjects involve 60 patients who are outpatients or inpatients from October, 2014 to April, 2015 in our hospital. The patients are defined as hypofunction of Yang-Qi in chest of TCM syndrome and Syndromes of Cordis and Vascular Stasis according with the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria by Western medicine diagnose. It divides the subjects into the observation group which doses the patients with Bayaspirin, Isosorbide Dinitrateand, ACEI/ARB, Metoprolol and other western medicines, and the control group in which adds IDVAD to the medicines used in the observation group with two courses of treatment(14 days for a treatment) aiming at observing clinical symptoms, electrocardiogram, treating index, blood fat in terms of pre- and post- contrasts analyzing by statistical method. Results : The 60 patients with coronary heart disease are all contented to the conservative treatment. There are 96.7% of total effective rate including 26 with positive effects, three valid, one void within the observation group, whereas there are 83.3% of total effective rate involving 18 with positive effects, 7 valid, 5 void within the control group. In contrast, the differences show statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion:IDVAD presents the positive clinical effects upon patients with hypofunction of Yang-Qi in chest in coronary heart disease and Syndromes of Cordis and Vascular Stasis as well as those with blood fat to a certain degree. IDVAD is suitable for clinic application and promotion and is able to be made as preparations of long-term medication.
