Objectives:To analyze the characteristic value changes of the sEMG, there was an obvious immediate effect on low frequency electrical acupoint stimulation in improving dorsiflexion function of wrist after stroke; to make the time-effect relationship between flexor-extensor low frequency electrical acupoint stimulation and improving dorsiflexion function of wrist after stroke clear.Methods1.Ninety stroke patients who met inclusion criteria were equally divided into electric acupuncture group, extensor low frequency electrical stimulation group and flexor-extensor low frequency electrical stimulation group in randomization. There were thirty patients in every groups. Three groups of patients were based on conventional rehabilitation therapy. The acupoint of electric acupuncture group and extensor low frequency electrical stimulation group were Shou san li, Wai guan. The acupoint of flexor-extensor low frequency electrical stimulation group were Shou san Li, Wai guan, Nei guan and Kong zui. Three groups were all treated one time for 30minutes. The intensity of stimulation could be tolerated by patients. The characteristic value of sEMG named MAX and RMS were collected to evaluate before and after treatment and also wrist activity ROM.2.One hundred stroke patients who met inclusion criteria were equally divided into five groups in randomization, which was consisted of twenty patients. Five groups were all cured with flexor-extensor low frequency electrical acupoint stimulation treatment for one time. The only difference among them was treatment time, which adopted respectively with 10minutes, 20minutes,30minutes,40minutes,50minutes. The characteristic value of sEMG named MAX and MF were collected to evaluate before and after treatment and also wrist activity ROM.Results1.Electric acupuncture group, extensor low frequency electrical stimulation group and flexor-extensor low frequency electrical stimulation group’ sEMG characteristic values named MAX and RMS of extensor carpi radialis longus muscle and wrist activity which tested immediately after treatment were elevated comparing with treatment before, the difference showed statistical significance(P<0.01); three group’s MAX,RMS and the maximal value of wrist activity showed statistical significance.(P<0.05); flexor-extensor low frequency electrical stimulation group was superior to extensor low frequency electrical stimulation group, extensor low frequency electrical stimulation group was superior to electric acupuncture group.2.Flexor-extensor low frequency electrical stimulation could increase sEMG characteristic values named MAX and MF of extensor carpi radialis longus muscle and the maximal value of wrist activity in every time, the difference showed statistical significance(P<0.01); 30 minutes’ sEMG characteristic values named MAX and RMS of extensor carpi radialis longus muscle and wrist activity which tested immediately after treatment were elevated comparing with 10 minutes,20 minutes,40 minutes,50 minutes. The difference showed statistical significance(P<0.05),30 minutes was superior to the other groups.Conclusions1.Three treatment methods have immediate effect on improving dorsal extension function of wrist after stroke which applied by acupuncture with electric stimulation treatment, extensor low frequency electrical acupoint stimulation, extension-flexion low frequency electrical acupoint stimulation treatment.2.Flexor-extensor low frequency electrical acupoint stimulation was superior to extensor low frequency electrical acupoint stimulation in improving dorsiflexion function of wrist after stroke; extensor low frequency electrical acupoint stimulation was superior to electric acupuncture in improving dorsiflexion function of wrist after stroke.3.The best improvement degree of extension-flexion low frequency electrical acupoint stimulate treatment in improving dorsiflexion function of wrist after stroke was 30minutes. That is to say,30 minutes was the best treatment plan.
