| Objective:Research to find out the diagnostic value of contrast-enhanced ultrasound in benign and malignant renal masses.Methods:113 renal masses were all performed by contrast-ehhanced ultrasound. After injecting 2.4ml SonoVue via peripheral vein, we record the enhanced time, the homogeneity of enhancement, and the presence of pseudocapsule sign dynamically. They were evaluated and compared with the pathologic findings. Then envaluate the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of every CEUS diagnosis index.Results:In the group of malignant masses, most renal cell carcinoma(RCC) enhanced fast and ealier wash-out, heterogeneous enhancement, and pseudocapsule sign, hyper-enhanced. 1 case of multilocular cystic renal cell carcinoma (MCRCC) shows that its different thickness wall and septa enhanced significantly. Urothelial carcinoma show as masses in the renal pelvis enhanced fast and earlier wash-out or slower wash-out, homogeneous enhancement, but without the pseudocapsule sign, and iso-enhanced. Most solid masses of benign group enhanced fast but slower wash-out, homogeneous enhancement or heterogeneous enhancement without pseudocapsule sign, iso-enhanced or hyper-enhanced. 1 benign cyst case’s wall and septa enhanced slower and hypo-enhancement, the other one shows no ultrasound contrast agents(UCAs) in.1 case of the renal abscess shows no UCAs in, but the other case enhanced at the same time with the renal corext, but slower wash-out, and iso-enhanced. Fisher definite probability method and chi-square test were used to demonstrate that there were significant difference between benign and malignant groups in diagnosis with the enhancement pattern of enhanced fast and earlier wash-out, heterogeneous enhancement, pseudocapsule sign, and enhancement degree(P<0.05).Conclusion:The indexesof CEUS have high sensitivity, specificity and accuracy, it proves more imaging information for diagnosis of renal masses, and has important clinical values. |
