Clinical Research On Fu Xue Hua Tan San In The Treatment Of Asthma In Remission (Lung- Spleen Qi Deficiency Type) And The Impact On IL-4 And IL-12

Objective:To observe the clinical therapeutic efficacy of Fu Xue Hua Tan San in the treatment of bronchial asthma clinical remission (lung spleen-deficiency type) and analyse the change of symptoms,signs and the serum IL-4 and IL-12,for the purpose of evaluating its clinical efficacy.Methods:100 patients of bronchial asthma clinical remission (lung spleen-deficiency type) were randomly divided into experimental group (50cases) and control group (50cases), experimental group was treated with Fu Xue Hua Tan San, everytime apply the powder on 9 acupoint for 6 hours, once again every dog-days, a total of three times, the control group was treated with YuPingfeng granules,5 g at a time, three times a day, a total of 40 days. Before and after the treatment,the changes of clinical symptoms and signs、the content of serum IL-4 and IL-12 were observed.Results:1. Fu Xue Hua Tan San has dramatical clinical effects on the treatment of bronchial asthma in remission stage (lung-spleen deficiency type). The total effective rate of treatment group was 85% and the control rate was 53%, The comparision between before and after treatment was statistically significant (P< 0.05).2.The following primary symptoms’ integration of experimental group after treatment like shortness of breath and low voice, laziness and tiredness were superior to control group. After treatment, the improvement of treatment group in the aspects of the times of catching a cold,spontaneous perspiration are better than that of control group,the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05);On aspect of cough,sputum,wheezing sound,eat less, the integration was improved, but there was no statistically significant difference between groups (P> 0.05).3. After treatment,IL-4 levels in both groups were significantly decreased, there was a significant difference compared with before treatment (P< 0.05), there is statistical difference between groups (P <0.05).4. After the treatment,two groups of patients’ IL-12 concentrations were significantly increased,there was a significant difference compared with before (P< 0.05), there is statistical difference between groups(P<0.05).Conclusion:1. Fu Xue Hua Tan San is a effective cure for bronchial asthma in remission stage(lung-spleen deficiency type), it can significantly improve the patient’s clinical symptoms and signs, no obvious adverse drug reaction.2. Fu Xue Hua Tan San can reduce serum IL-4 levels of patients with asthma in remission stage(lung-spleen deficiency type) and increase the content of serum IL-12.
