Objective:To investigate the expression of Wnt2 and Dishevelled(Dvl) gene in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC), and to explore the clinical significance of Wnt2 classical signal pathway and its key factor Dvl in the occurrence and development of ESCC. Methods:To detect the mRNA and protein of Wnt2 and Dvl gene in ESCC tissues and its corresponding adjacent non-carcinomatous tissues by RT-PCR and Western blotting,and analyze the relationship between clinical pathological features. Results:The relative expression of Wnt2 mRNA in ESCC was significantly higher(0.649+0.201) than that in adjacent tissues(0.110+0.033), and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01), and the relative expression of Wnt2 protein in ESCC(0.584+0.177) was significantly higher than that in adjacent tissues(0.085+0.026), and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01);The high expression of Wnt2 gene in ESCC was related to the depth of invasion, lymph node metastasis and TNM stage of ESCC.(2) The relative expression of mRNA Dvl in ESCC was(0.620+0.208) higher than that in adjacent tissues(0.316+0.096), and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01), the relative expression of Dvl protein in ESCC(0.478+0.152) was significantly higher than that in adjacent tissues(0.261+0.079), and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01);The high expression of Wnt2 gene in ESCC was related to the depth of invasion,lymph node metastasis and TNM stage of ESCC. Conclusion:The expression of Wnt2 and Dvl gene in ESCC was related to the occurrence and development of ESCC. The high expression of them in ESCC suggested that the patients with ESCC had a late stage of ESCC, and lymph node metastasis was easy to occur.In ESCC tissue, there is a high expression of Wnt2 and the key protein Dvl, and they are positively correlated, suggesting that Wnt2 signaling pathway plays a role in the occurrence and development of ESCC.
