Inositol is a vitamin belonged to B vitamins, and is similar to choline for its lipotropy, Inositol is a kind of essential nutrients for human cells growth and survival,which can generate inositol phosphate esters,to prmoting fat metabolism in the liver and,lower blood fat.DCI is myo-inositol’s optical isomers,which has a good effect for substantial promotion of insulin,reduction of blood fat and improment of ovulation frequency for PCOS.It also has function of anti-oxidation,anti-aging and anti-inflammatory.DCI was extracted from chemical or natural product, but it is time-consuming and expensive. Firstly,the research detect the inositol and DCI’s purity. Inositol and DCI’s anti-aging function was studied by building the mice model of aging by injecting D-galactose to compare the differences of antioxidant activity in the body.The aging mice model was established by subcutaneous injection of D-galactose at the nape. Six groups of mice were administered with inositiol and DCI at doses of 100,200,400mg/Kg orally for 8 weeks. After 8 weeks, the behavioral tests including tight rope experiments, balance beam experiments, fields experiments and the water maze tests, showed that the ablity of unfamiliar environment spontaneous movement, space exploration capabilities, excitability, movement and spatial memory in middle and high groups were significantly stronger than that in control group. After 8 weeks, the mice were executed to determine catalase(CAT) activities,superoxide dismutase(SOD)activities,total anti-oxidant capability(T-AOC), glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px) activities and malondiadehyde(MDA) content in the serum, liver and brain, and mRNA levels related antioxidant in liver was detected by the real time RT-PCR. Antioxidant enzyme activity results showed that compared with control groups, activities of CAT, SOD, GSH-Px and T-AOC in serum,liver and brain were enhanced significantly and MDA content was decreased in inositol and DCI groups.It was indicated that the antioxidant ability of mice model of aging by injecting D-galactose were increased significantly through improving the antioxidant enzymes activitys by inositol and DCI.with the best effects in the high dosage of inositol and DCI group. Real Time-PCR results showed that compared with control groups,inositol and DCI gene expression of SOD1、SOD2、GSH-Px and CAT were significantly enhanced in liver in the middle and high dosage of inositol and DCI group.
