The Effects Of Selenium Supplement In TPOAb Of Hashimoto Thyroiditis

Objective Hashimoto thyroiditis is a type of Autoimmune thyroiditis, namely goiter type, is an organ specific autoimmune diseases, is also called chronic--lymphocytic thyroiditis.The Hashimoto thyroiditis characteristics: The level of Thyroglobulin antibody and thyroid peroxidase antibodies are rise. At present, when patients went into hyperthyroidism,Treatment of this disease is mainly with Anti-thyroid drugs.When patients went into hypothyroidism,they had to receive LT4 replacemant therapy to maintain their thyroid function normal.Now,in aboard,some studies show that selenium supplementcan treatment can make the level of TPOAb down in hashimoto thyroiditis patients,reduce the thyroid inflammation,This research is to explore the change of TPOAb after theselenium supplement in patients with hashimoto thyroiditis.Provide a new way and measures to prevent and treatment the hashimoto thyroidites patients.Subject and methods We collect 97 hashimoto thyroidites outpaitients from March 2014 to April 2015. The process of treatment are keeping the level of serum TSH(Whether taking L- T4)normal level(0.49-4.46 m IU/L),A group is high dose selenium supplement group(n=35, Selenium supplement dose 200 ug/d), B group is low dose selenium group(n=32, Selenium supplement dose 100ug/d),C group is control group(n=30, the patients weren’t supplement drugs). Quantitative determination TPOAb in human serum and plasma with chemiluminescence particles immune detection technology, monitoring the TPOAb drop degree change of three groups of patients.Results 1. After 2 months with the selenium supplement treatment in high dose selenium supplement group、low dose selenium supplement group and control group.The high dose selenium supplement group TPOAb drop 31.7(-3928.0/3018.0) pg/ml,the low dose selenium supplement group TPOAb drop 30.9(-457.0/510.0) pg/ml,the control group TPOAb drop-3.4(-299.0/4.0) pg/ml, There was statistically significant difference in the change of the TPOAb drop degree of variation in the three groups(P<0.05). 2. After 4 months with the selenium supplement treatment in high dose selenium supplement group、low dose selenium supplement group and control group.The high dose selenium supplement group TPOAb drop 675.7(-3493.0/2562.0) pg/ml, the low dose selenium supplement group TPOAb drop 42.0(-435.5/689.7) pg/ml,the control group TPOAb drop-31.8(-1689.9/100.4)pg/ml,There was statistically significant difference in the change of the TPOAb drop degree of variation in the three groups(P<0.05). 3. After 6 months with the selenium supplement treatment in high dose selenium supplement group、low dose selenium supplement group and control group.The high dose selenium supplement group TPOAb drop 1060.0(-154.7/4000.0) pg/mll, the low dose selenium supplement group TPOAb drop 64.3(-395.0/1089.8)pg/ml,the control group TPOAb drop-56.5(-2720.0/90.5)pg/ml, There was statistically significant difference in the change of the TPOAb drop degree of variation in the three groups(P<0.05). 4. In the high dose selenium supplement group,after 2、4、6 months treatment,there was statistically signigicant difference in the change of the TPOAb drop degree of variation compared with the before selenium supplement treatment.In the low dose selenium supplement group,after 2 、4、6months treatment,there wasn’t statistically signigicant difference in the change of the TPOAb drop degree of variation compared with the before selenium supplement treatment.In the control group,after 2、4、6 months treatment, there was statistically signigicant difference in the change of the TPOAb drop degree of variation compared with the before selenium supplement treatment.TPOAb’s level was significantly decreased in the high selenium supplement group and the low selenium supplement group.In the control group,the TPOAb level was raised.Conclusions With the selenium supplement in patients with hashimoto thyroiditis,the TPOAb’s level is decrease,associated with selenium supplement dose and the period of selenium treatment.
