The Clinical Expression And Its Significance Of Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor In Patients With Lung Cancer And Pulmonary Thromboembolism

Objective:The thesis is to study the expression and clinical significance of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in patients with lung cancer complicated with pulmonary thromboembolism (PTE).Methods:We collected 30 cases serum specimen diagnosed with lung cancer complicated with PTE who had been admitted to the first affiliated hospital of Guangxi Medical University from December 2013 to December 2015. At the same time, we randomly collected serum specimen of three groups as the control groups, including one group with 59 cases with pure lung cancer, another group with 49 cases with pure deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and the other group with 57 cases with pure pulmonary thromboembolism (PTE).The VEGF level in serum is measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).Results:To compare lung cancer complicated with pulmonary thromboembolism (PTE) with pure lung cancer group, pure DVT group and pure PTE group, we finds there is statistically significant difference (P<0.01).The pairwise comparison among the three groups-pure lung cancer group, pure DVT group and pure PTE group, none of them has statistically significant difference (P>0.05). To diagnose lung cancer complicated with PTE by VEGF, the area under the ROC curve is 1.0. By taking the maximum value of Youden index as the truncation point, we figures out that the best threshold value for diagnosing lung cancer complicated with PTE threshold is 254.19 pg/ml, and meanwhile both of the sensitivity and specificity for diagnosing lung cancer complicated with PTE are 100%.Conclusion:The expression of VEGF is high in patients with lung cancer merger PTE, it may has certain reference value to diagnosis lung cancer combine PTE.By taking the best threshold value of 254.19 pg/ml, both the sensitivity and specificity are 100%.
