Objectives:1. In this paper, the patients who were diagnosed with syndrome of lingering pathogen due to deficiency of vital qi after the low simple fistula surgery received Qihuang lotion sitz-bath which is proposed by Doctor Yeling. The author kept track of two groups of patients as regards of incision ache degree, wound exudation, granulation growth and healing time. Finally, the author aims to evaluate the efficacy of Qihuang lotion sitz-bath for patients suffering from syndrome of lingering pathogen due to deficiency of vital qi after the low simple fistula surgery.2.Significance:The author draws his tutor’s experience in Chinese medicine sitz-bath to explore and provide a clinical experimental that better help anal fistula patients regain health and reduces their hospital expenditure.Method:In this research,72 patients were diagnosed and considered subjects with 42 males and 30 females and their ages fall between 18 to 60 years old. The subjects were randomly sorted into experimental group and control group with a membership of 36 respectively.10 days after the surgery, the experimental group received the Qihuang sitz-bath while the other did not. The two groups’ incision ache degree, wound exudation and granulation growth were put into record in the third, seventh and tenth day after the application of the Qihuang sitz-bath. The wound area and healing rate were recorded on the seventh and the fourteenth day after the use of the Qihuang sitz-bath. On the twenty-eighth day after the operation, the author analyzed the obtained data by the means of statistical software (SPSS 19.0) to evaluate the overall efficacy of using the Qihuang sitz-bath.Results:There is no statistical difference in all patients’ gender, age, infection progress, wound ache degree, wound exudation, granulation and wound area after a balanced assessment before the author launched the above sitz-bath. Results are as follows:(1)Incision ache degree:Before the application of the Qihuang sitz-bath, no difference was found between the two groups in terms of incision ache degree (P>0.05); on the third day after the adoption of the Qihuang sitz-bath, no difference still; on the seventh and tenth day, the difference between the two group came into being with the experimental group gaining greater relief than the control group.(2) Wound exudation:Before the adoption the Qihuang sitz-bath, no difference was found between the two groups in terms of wound exudation (P>0.05); on the third、seventh and tenth day after the adoption of the Qihuang sitz-bath the difference between the two group came into being with the exudation was obviously less in the experimental group than that in the control group.(3) Wound granulation growth:Before the application of the Qihuang sitz-bath, no difference was found between the two groups regarding wound granulation (P>0.05); on the third day after the adoption of the Qihuang sitz-bath, no difference still; on the seventh and tenth day, the difference between the two group came into being that the the Qihuang sitz-bath was conducive to the growth of granulation in the experimental group.(4) Wound area, healing time and healing rate:After the adoption of the Qihuang sitz-bath, by the statistical analysis (P<0.05), the experimental group outdid the control group with regards to the wound area, healing time and healing rate.(5) Overall healing effect comparison:28 days after the operation, the healing rate of the experimental group reached 100% and that of the control group 86.11%(P<0.05), which meant the Qihuang sitz-bath can help improve the healing effect.(6) Healing time:The healing time refers the two groups of patients regained full health; in other words, their healing rate reached 100%. It took 25.31±0.67 days for the control group to regain full health and for the experimental group 21.56±0.50 days (P<0.05), which meant the the Qihuang sitz-bath can help reduce the healing time.(7)Untoward effect:No untoward effect was observed in the two groups throughout the treatment process. Conclusion:This paper proves that the Qihuang sitz-bath can reduce the wound exudation, alleviate the wound ache, and help the healing of wound and shorten the healing time and thus the Qihuang sitz-bath should be considered in helping patients regain health.
