Objective:To assess the relationship between Neutrophil/Lymphocyte Ratio (NLR) and the severity of coronary lesion with the death during hospitalization in patients of ST-Segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) after undergoing Prime PCI.Methods:A total of 173 STEMI patients who received prime PCI from the database of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine between January 2015 and January 2016. Including male of 106 (61.2%) and female of 67 (38.8%).According to Gensini score, the patients were divided into 2 groups: Moderate coronary lesion group, the patients with Gensini score<56, n=85 and Severe coronary lesion group, the patients with Gensini score>56, n=88. The relationship between NLR and Gensini score, the relationship between during hospitalization all cause death and NLR were analyzed. Results:The NLR in Severe coronary lesion group was higher than Moderate coronary lesion group, P<0.001; Gensini score was positively related to NLR (r=0.278 P < 0.001); Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed NLR value was the independent risk factor for severe coronary lesion (OR=1.246,95% CI:1.092-1.428, P=0.001). Multivariate Logistic regression analysis displayed that NLR was the independent predictor for all cause mortality in STEMI patients during hospital.(OR=1.309,95% CI:1.063-1.612, P=0.011);Area under the ROC curve was 0.896, the best prognostic criteria for NLR on admission was 9.304(95%CI: 0.809~0.983, P=0.001),the sensitivity and specificity were 83.3%and 88%.Conclusion:NLR is related to the severity of coronary lesion with Gensini score and it has a certain predictive value for hospital death in STEMI patients.
