Object To explore the clinical efficacy of the traditional Chinese medicine prescription Tong-nao decoction in treating acute ischemic stroke patients with poor metabolizer genotype of clopidogrel in promoting the recovery of neurological function and reduce the vascular stenosis.Method According to the genotype of CYP2C19,people can divided into extensive metabolizer(EM),poor metabolizer(IM), intermediate metabolizer(PM).We chose the PM as the treatment group and the EM as the control group. On the basis of conventional therapy, the treatment group was given the Tong-nao decoction combined with aspirin and the control group given the clopidogrel. Both groups were evaluated by the NIHSS score, Barthel Index, and Modified Rankin Scale score at 0d,7d,14d, and 90d.Results The NIHSS score, Modified Rankin Scale score in two groups were significantly lower than that before treatment, while Barthel index was significantly higher than that before treatment (P<0.05). Furthermore, the efficacy was more obviously in treatment group at 90d (P <0.05),while the treatment group reduced the flow rate of MCA no less than the control group. Conclusions The Tong-nao decoction combined with aspirin could improve clinical efficacy significantly better than the clopidogrel, and promote the recovery of neurological function, reduce the vascular stenosis.
