Objective:Preliminary observation of chronic tonsillitis (CTS) low-temperature plasma excision application removing heat and cooling blood decotion agent treatment on the effect of postoperative pain and inflammation, and to explore the role of the principle, chronic tonsillitis by low temperature plasma extraction postoperative reaction of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine combined treatment provides a train of thought. Methods:Collection of CTS patients in Department of ENT, Jiangsu Province Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital,a total of 40 cases were randomly divided into treatment group 20 cases and control group of 20 cases, the two groups of patients underwent bilateral tonsillectomy under low temperature plasma treatment, with the same low temperature plasma cutter,In the supine position, use systemic intravenous anesthesia, with the opening of Davies oral distraction, and bilateral tonsil removal under nasal endoscopy auxiliary system, complete hemostasis, physiological saline flushing operation cavity.Traditional Chinese medicine group and the control group were treated with anti infection, hemostasis and symptomatic treatment.Traditional Chinese medicine group in addition to anti infection, bleeding and symptomatic and supportive treatment, postoperative day 1 began taking removing heat and cooling blood decotion, one dose daily, morning and evening to take, taking a total of 7 days. The serum white blood cells (WBC) and C reactive protein (CRP) were examined at first days, fourth days and 7 days after surgery, respectively. And according to VAS visual quantitative score in patients with pharyngeal pain and other symptoms. Collected data were statistically compared, by chi square test and repeated measures analysis of variance test, P<0.05, with statistical significance, P<0.01, have significant statistical significance. Results:Selected 40 cases, were randomly divided into the traditional Chinese medicine group 20 cases, the control group of 20 cases. CRP:On the fourth day after the operation, the traditional Chinese medicine group (x±S) was 8.08±3.21mg/L, and the control group was 12.38+3.91mg/L;the seventh day after operation, the traditional Chinese medicine group was 3.46+1.43mg/L, and the control group was 5.83+1.91mg/L; WBC:On the fourth day after the operation, the traditional Chinese medicine group (x±S) was 8.25+ 1.61*10^9/L, and the control group was 9.75+2.45*10^9/L; after seventh days, the traditional Chinese medicine group (x±S) was 7.31+1.11*10^9/L, and the control group was 7.18+0.94*10^9/L;Pain score:fourth days after operation, the traditional Chinese medicine group (x±S) was 3.05+0.61, and the control group was 4.45+0.69; after seventh days, the traditional Chinese medicine group (x±S) was 2.40+0.60, and the control group was 2.95+0.69;After statistical analysis, in the first 1-4 days after surgery, the decline rate of CRP, WBC and pain score in the traditional Chinese medicine group was faster than that in the control group, with statistical significance, the rate of decline slowed down after 4 days, and the data of the two groups all tended to preoperative level.Postoperative secondary bleeding,1 cases of Chinese medicine group,3 cases of the control group, each of which had 1 cases of postoperative diet caused by careless, after statistical analysis, t test showed no statistical difference between the two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion:Low temperature plasma to remove the tonsils of CTS patients in the postoperative application of removing heat and cooling blood decotion prescription can in a short period of time significantly reduce postoperative inflammatory and pharyngeal pain symptoms, but did not significantly reduce the probability of postoperative bleeding and clinical yet found related discomfort and side effects, draw the conclusion that removing heat and cooling blood decotion prescription can be used for low temperature plasma tonsillectomy postoperative anti-inflammatory analgesic therapy.
