ObjectiveBy means of analyzed Intravoxel Incoherent Motion Diffusion Weighted Imaging (IVIM-DWI) related parameters on the curative effect observation of different treatment stages of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC)to estimate different prognosis of NPC,which provides theoretical basis for the choice of clinical treatments and the promotion of IVIM-DWI in head and neck tumours.Methods90 consecutive patients with NPC diagnosed by nasopharyngeal endoscopic biopsy during December 2014 to February 2016, all of them had received radiation and chemotherapy in our hospital. All the participants were divided into two groups according to the curative effect, The progress and stability group; They were examined using 3.0T MR system in the Pretherapy,3 months after radiotherapy and 6 months after radiotherapy. Diffusion-weighted imaging was performed with 13 b value (range,0~800s/mm2). Respectively record IVIM-DWI related parameters (pure diffusion coefficient, Slow ADC or D; perfusion fraction, f, pseudodiffusion coefficient, Fast ADC or D*) in different treatment stages, Finally calculated ADC separately; Then analysed all data by SPSS22.0 statistical software (P<0.05).Results1. IVIM-DWI related parameters have no significant difference (P>0.05) in Stability group and progress group in different stages of treatment;2、IVIM-DWI related parameters (Slow ADC, Fast ADC, f, ADC) in different stages of treatment have significant difference (P<0.05) in Residual group (25 cases);3、Slow ADC and ADC are negatively related with T stage (r=-0.396,-0.290, p=0.000,0.005),and also exists obvious difference between different T st ages;ConclusionIVIM-DWI can provide diffusion and perfusion information in different treatment stages of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) simultaneously; IVIM-DWI has certain application value in the diagnosis and prognosis for treatment of head and neck tumours.
