Clinical Observation On Pricking Blood Combined With Acpuncture Therapy In Treating Primary Dysmenorrhea (Qi Stagnation And Blood Stasis)

Abstract/Summary:
ObjectiveComparing the curative difference between acupuncture combined with pricking blood therapy and acupuncture only on treating the Qi stagnation and blood stasis type of primary dysmenorrhea, the study aims to evaluate the clinical efficacy of acupuncture combined with pricking blood therapy on the Qi stagnation and blood stasis type of primary dysmenorrhea.MethodsIn this study, 62 cases were collectd from Guanggzhou University of Chinese Medicine(GUCM) and the Acupunture Clinic and Gynaecological Clinic of the First Affiliated Hospital of GUCM. The cases were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group. The cases of the treatment group were treated with acupuncture combined with pricking blood therapy, while the control group with acupuncture only.The scores of VAS, the Dysmenorrhea Symptoms and CMSS were compared between this two groups. At last, the data of 61 cases were analyzed in the final statistics.ResultsAfter the treatment, both the acupuncture combined with pricking blood therapy and acupuncture only has remarkable effect in treating the Qi stagnation and blood stasis type of primary dysmenorrhea. In the meanwhile, the scores of CMSS between two group had a significant difference (P<0.05), but the scores of Dysmenorrhea Symptoms and VAS between two groups had no significant difference(P>0.05).The results indicated the acupuncture combined with pricking blood therapy can shorten the onset time of the dysmenorrhea symptoms and lower the severity degree of the dysmenorrhea symptoms. Both the two therapys could stop the painess of dysmenorrhea.ConclusionBoth the acupuncture combined with pricking blood therapy and acupuncture only has remarkable effect in stopping the painess of dysmenorrhea, but the acupuncture combined with pricking blood therapy can shorten the onset time of the dysmenorrhea symptoms and lower the severity degree of the dysmenorrhea symptoms.
