The Reseach About Ma Shi’s Interpretation Of Medical Text

Ma Shi, the famous doctor in Ming dynasty, is the first person to collate and annotate the full text of Miraculous Pivot. He had written Huangdi Neijing Su Wen Zhu Zheng Fa Wei (Discussion on the Interpretation of Plain Question in Huangdi Neijing)、Huangdi Neijing Ling Shu Zhu Zheng Fa Wei (Discussion on the Interpretation of Miraculous Pivot in Huangdi Neijing)、Nan Jing Zheng Yi、Mai Jue Zheng Yi.When annotating, he had summarized the major point of each chapter in book. He had explained the meridians’ function by the meridian theory to realize the connection among meridians. He had created great influence resulting from the explicit theory of acupuncture and the innovations in the interpretation of ancient medical texts.The paper is to discuss the interpretation theory, content and methods of Ma Shi about ancient medical texts deeply as well as summarize his interpretation achievements, historical contribution and academic shortness by researching Huangdi Neijing Su Wen Zhu Zheng Fa Wei (Discussion on the Interpretation of Plain Question in Huangdi Neijing) and Huangdi Neijing Ling Shu Zhu Zheng Fa Wei (Discussion on the Interpretation of Miraculous Pivot in Huangdi Neijing).The first part is introduction, concluding the significance and value, status and methods of this research.The second part is the biography experience of Ma Shi.The third part is introducing the background research about Ma Shi’s interpretation of medical texts from the historical background, academic and cultural background, medical development background, theory and practice about interpretation of medical texts.The forth part is the main part to discuss the achievements and shortness in Ma Shi’s interpretation of medical texts from three main perspectives:1. the content, methods and terms; 2. the main achievements and characteristics; 3. the main problems existing in the interpretation.The fifth part is to sketch out the subsequent influence of Ma Shi’s interpretation of medical texts.In a word, it has not only illustrated synchronically the theory and methods about Ma Shi’s interpretation of medical texts, but investigated diachronically the achievements and subsequent influence of Ma Shi in the whole interpretation history of medical texts.
