Objective: This study aims to evaluate the prognostic impact of absolute monocyte count(AMC),absolute lymphocyte count(ALC) and lymphocyte-monocyte ratio(LMR) in ENKL by analysing the correlation between the three factors and progression free survival(PFS) and overall survival(OS) and other clinical characteristics. Furthermore, the study is to provide additional information for better risk stratification in patients with ENKL.Methods:Retrospective data from 200 patients newly pathologically diagnosed with extra nodal NK/T cell lymphoma nasal type(ENKL) were collected and analyzed, which included several clinical prognostic characteristics. AMC ALC and LMR were analyzed as continuous and dichotomized variables. Overall survival(OS) and progression-free survival(PFS) were assessed by the Kaplan-Meier method. Independent prognostic factors of survival were determined by Cox regression analysis.Results:(1) The optimal cut-off values of the ALC AMC LMR were determined using the receiver operating characteristics(ROC) method, which were.1.0×109/L 0.5×109/L and 3.76 respectively.(2)Patients with ALC≥1.0×109/L AMC<0.5×109/L and LMR<3.76 had better median OS and PFS and 5-year OS ratio than those with ALC<1.0×109/L AMC≥0.5×109/L and LMR<3.76.(3) Multivariate analysis showed that Ann Arbor stage KIPI and LDH were independent prognostic factors for PFS. ALC AMC LMR were independent prognostic factors for both PFS and OS.Conclusions:(1) ALC AMC LMR are correlated with clinical characteristics including Ann Arbor stage LDH IPI KIPI bone marrow infiltration and hemophagocytic syndrome.(2) ALC AMC LMR are possibly prognostic indexes of ENKL.
