Objective the prevalence rates of iron-deficiency anemia(IDA) is getting higher and higher, and as an indicator in the diagnosis of IDA, the serum ferritin is also more and more attention. However, a lot of research scholars found that altitude have an impact on the level of the Serum ferritin in healthy people, that is, the higher the altitude, the higher the level of the Serum ferritin in healthy people. So, when the body occurs IDA, with the elevation of altitude, the level of Serum ferritin will be how the change, the current related reports less. So this paper tries to explore the difference between the level of the Serum ferritin at high altitude area in patients with IDA and the level of the Serum ferritin of flat area in patients with IDA, to observe the level of the Serum ferritin in patients with IDA effect with the elevation height, the level of Serum ferritin in IDA patients at high altitude area has important value in diagnosis.Methods To collect 307 cases of the adult new IDA(the age are between 32 and 60)confirmed with the third edition of 《the blood disease diagnosis and standard of curative effect》in tong ling city of an hui province people’s hospital(all from plain area,elevation is less than 100m), qing hai Red Cross hospital(both from an altitude of 2260-2720m),during october 2013 and october 2015. And flat area in 143 cases, 67 cases of male, female 76 cases. high altitude area 164 cases, 67 cases of male, female 97 cases. All diagnosed patients with eighth edition anemia classification standard in IDA reference to internal medicine were divided into mild anemia, moderate anemia, severe anemia. And collect 175 cases of the healthy people in the tong ling city of an hui province people’s hospital(all from the flat area,from an altitude 100m), qing hai Red Cross hospital(both from an altitude of 2260 m and 2720m), the age are between 32 and 61, including 84 cases of plain region, male 35 cases, women in 49 cases. high altitude localities 91 cases, male 40 cases, women 51 cases. All of the objects are devided into four groups as gender,they are the man of flat area,the woman of flat area.The man of high altitude area,The woman of high altitude area. It is devided into experimental group mild anemia, moderate anemia, severe anemia of the four groups above. We will divide into four groups from the plains and high altitude localities male and the female.It contain the healthy controls, mild anemia group, moderate anemia, severe anemia group. Iron deficiency anemia group as experimental group, healthy people as control group. We watch the difference of serum ferritin level between the patients at high altitude area with iron deficiency anemia and flat area. We use the statistics software to process and analyze the data, he difference was statistically significant when P < 0.05.Result(1) The level of Serum ferritin in IDA groups:mild anemia group > moderate anemia group > severe anemia group(P < 0.05). The level of Serum ferritin in healthy person is higher than person with IDA.(2) The level of Serum ferritin in male is higher than female, The Serum ferritin levels with same degree of anemia in patients with IDA, male is higher than female.(3) Male, female: the level of Serum ferritin in healthy people at high altitude area is higher than the level of Serum ferritin in flat area(P<0.05).(4) male and female: The Serum ferritin level with same degree of anemia in patients with IDA of the flat area is higher than high altitude area(P<0.05).Conclusion(1) Patients with IDA at flat area and high altitude area,The Serum ferritin level increased with the degree of anemia increased, Serum ferritin and Hb positively.(2) The same degree of anemia of Serum ferritin level in patients with IDA in high altitude area is low than the flat area.(3) The Serum ferritin level with same degree of anemia of male is higher than the flat area with high altitude area of female.
