This topic comes from “Multi Point Forming of Titanium Alloys Prosthesis Preparation and Its Clinical Application”(Project number: 20090012), which is Mr. Pei’ project of Key technology research program of Hebei provincial department of health, and Natural Science Foundation Project of Hebei Province "the reconstruction algorithm of the complex surface modeling method of the reconstruction of the defect surface and the stamping die design method"(item number: E2015203002). In this paper, skull prosthesis is research object, and the process of stamping forming of titanium mesh is discussed. In order to prevent the emergence of crack and wrinkle defects of titanium mesh in the stamping process, firstly, the optimal combination scheme of forming process parameters is obtained by using the finite element numerical simulation technology, the experiment was carried out in the laboratory, according to the optimum scheme, and the quality of the skull prosthesis which meets the requirement of forming quality was obtained.In the research of this paper, firstly, the CAD model of the skull prosthesis is created by the reverse modeling method in CATIA software by CT scan. Then the CAE model is constructed by using HYPERMESH and DYNAFORM software. In order to obtain the simulation test using less number of forming the optimal combination of process parameters, in this paper, the orthogonal test method is used to design the simulation program. Then the CAE model is calculated by LS-DYNA, according to the design of the simulation program. By means of analyzing the results of orthogonal test, the optimum blank holder force, die clearance and friction coefficient are obtained. At last, according to the finite element numerical simulation, the optimal process parameters are combined to carry out the stamping forming experiment, and obtained the quality of the shape can meet the use requirements of the skull prosthesis.
