Objective: To explore the blood Lipids characteristics of patients with Heart failure and coronary artery disease and changes with age increased. Methods: From January 2010 to June 2013,a total of 1960 patients with HF(cardiac function NYHAⅡ~Ⅳclassification) in the Department of Cardiology of the Second Hospital of Tianjin Medical University, were enrolled as HF group. HF group was divided intoⅡ,Ⅲ, Ⅳclassification according to the classification of cardiac function(NYHA classification), which was divided into five groups by age: < 60 as the zero group, 60~70 as the first group, 70~80 as the second group, 80-90 as the third groups, > 90 as the fourth groups, all groups contains the beginning of the age and exclude the end of the age. The HF group was divided according to gender. The line trend chart on blood lipid levels were made according to the different age groups in patients with heart failure. Results:The HF patients and coronary heart disease with high blood pressure was similar in different NYHA classifications. The levels of serum creatinine, blood urea nitrogen, albumin, triacylglycerol(TG),total cholesterol(TC),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-c),high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-c)and nonhigh density lipoprotein cholesterol(non-HDL-c)in HF group were decreased by the deterioration of cardiac function, but the levels of TC/HDL-c, LDL-c/HDL-c and Lg( TG/ HDL-c) were increased(P<0.05 or P<0.01).The level of non-HDL-c/HDL-c in patients with HFⅡ classification was higher than in Ⅳclassification. The levels of urea nitrogen, creatinine, albumin, TG, TC, LDL-c, HDL-c, non-HDL-c were decreased with the advanced age.The levels of serum creatinine, blood urea nitrogen, albumin, TG, TC, LDL-c, HDL-c, non-HDL-c were significant difference between every group with a downward trend in patients with heart failure; but the levels of TC/HDL-c,LDL-c/HDL-c, non-HDL-c/HDL-c and Lg( TG/ HDL-c) were significant difference between every group with a increased trend(P<0.01 or P<0.05). The levels of TC/HDL-c,LDL-c/HDL-c,non-HDL-c/HDL-c in different gender patients with heart failure were no statistical difference(P>0.05). But the levels of TG, TC, HDL, LDL-c, non-HDL-c and Lg( TG/ HDL-c) in female patients with heart failure were higher than the males(P<0.05 or P<0.01). The levels of creatinine, urea nitrogen, albumin, TG, TC, HDL, LDL-c,non-HDL-c were decreased in female patients with heart failure with increased age,and the creatinine level among zero to forth groups were significantly different, which showed a trend of beginning falling then rising after falling from zero to forth group. The levels of HDL, TG, TC, LDL, non-HDL-c were significantly differences in patients with heart failure among the groups with the declining trend.the bevels of TC/HDL-c,LDL-c/HDL-c, non-HDL-c/HDL-c and Lg(TG/HDL-c) in patients with heart failure with rising trend, in which the levels of TC/HDL-c, Lg(TG/HDL-c) from zero to forth group had showed a increase trend, The level of LDL-c/HDL-c from zero to forth groups were significant different, there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups. The level of LDL-c/HDL-c increased from zero to first group, which decreased from first to second group and increased from second to forth group(P<0.05 or P<0.01). The levels of creatinine and urea nitrogen, albumin, TG, TC, LDL,HDL-c,TC/HDL-c,LDL-c/HDL-c, Lg(TG/HDL-c) had statistically significant differences in male patients with heart failure between different age groups. The levels of albumin, TG, TC, LDL-c, non-HDL-c and HDL-c decreases with increased age, which was significant difference between every group with a downward trend. The levels of TC/HDL and LDL-c/HDL-c were increased with age, between groups and showed a trend of increase(P < 0.05 or P < 0.01).Conclusion: The blood lipid levels in patients with heart failure and coronary heart disease may be the reaction of severity in patients with heart failure, the patients with serious heart failure had decreased blood lipids. The levels of TG, TC, LDL-c, non-HDL-c and HDL-c were decreased with the age increased, which the levels of TC/HDL-c、LDL-c/HDL-c、Lg(TG/ HDL-c)﹑non-HDL-c/HDL-c were increased. The blood lipid levels showed different trend in different gender.
