Objective:To explore the condition of correct diagnosis, standard treatment, prevention, economic spent, inducing factors and comorbidity of migraine patients at high altitude area for providing the basis of standardization of diagnosis, treatment and prevention. Methods:Native patients with headache as the chief complaint were screened from December, 2014 to December,2015 in neurologic clinic of affiliated hospital of Qinghai university through a self-designed headache questionnaire, 320 cases migraine patients were collected according to the international headache diagnosis standard ICHD-II, Patients were divided into high altitude and medium altitude group according to the living altitude, diagnosis, treatment, prevention, inducing factors and comorbidity were surveyed, the data were analyzed by statistical software SPSS 17.0.Results:Among 320 cases of migraine, 224 were female, accounting for 70%. Age is concentrated in 30~49 years old, degree of education of primary schools were dominant, accounting for 33.4%, professional farmers and herdsmen were dominated, accounting for 34.7%, there was a high proportion of family history of migraine, reaching 32.2%. Compared with patients at medium altitude, the doctors’ office visit rate, proportion of migraine diagnosis at high altitude were lower, the differences had statistical significance(P<0.05),Compared with the patients at high altitude, repeated head imaging examination ratio, economic spent of patients at medium altitude were higher, the differences had statistical significance(P<0.05). 320 cases of migraine inducing factors were related to sleep disorders obviously, accounting for 81.3%, followed by 45.3% of the sun, 43.1% of the mood change,Women are more likely induced by sleep disorders, sunlight, and mood changes, while men are more likely to be affected by alcohol, the differences had statistical significance(P<0.05),Compared with patients at medium altitude, patients at high altitude areas were more susceptible to the effects of sun, weather change, high altitude environment, sleep disorders, the differences had statistical significance(P<0.05). comorbidity with sleep disorders accounted for 81.3%, depression state accounted for 55.6%. Comorbidity rate of sleep disorders, depression state at high altitude group were higher than those of the medium group, the differences had statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion:Migraine with middle-aged women and low degree of education of farmers and herdsmen at high altitude area are common, and with a high proportion of family history. The doctors’ office visit rate, proportion of migraine diagnosis of patients at high altitude are lower, repeated head imaging examination ratio, economic spent of patients at medium altitude are higher. Migraine inducing factors are related to sleep disorders, sunlight, mood change,Women are more likely induced by sleep disorders, sunlight, and mood change, while men are more likely to be affected by alcohol, patients at high altitude areas are more susceptible to the effects of high altitude environment, sleep disorders. Sleep disorders, depression state are common comorbidity of migraine.
