Objective: By observing the therapeutic effects of pelvic floor biofeedback electrical stimulation on NB due to SCI, to discuss the clinical promotion of this technology and search for the best method to treat NB due to SCI.Materials and Methods: A total of 40 SCI patients with NB were randomly divided into two groups: both groups were given standard bladder nursing intervention everyday; the treatment group patients were also treated with pelvic floor biofeedback electrical stimulation per day. The daily frequency of urination, single sub-urine output, residual urine volume, urinary symptom distress scores(USDS) and the international lower urinary tract symptoms(LUTS) scores before and after 2 weeks of treatment, 4 weeks of treatment were recorded and analyzed. Results: All of patients got a significant recovery of their bladder function and clinical symptoms(P<0.05). At the same time point after treatment, the treatment group patients had a better increasement in the mean single sub-urine output and a less mean daily frequency of urination, urinary symptom distress scores and LUTS scores compared with control group(P<0.05).And the change was more significant with the prolongation of treatment time。Conclusion: Standard bladder nursing intervention combined pelvic floor biofeedback electrical stimulation can effectively improve the neurogenic bladder function, the survival and quality of SCI patients. And the effect was more significant with the prolongation of treatment time.
