On the basis of adaptation time and culture context,the adaptation of the old and newfour masterpieces includes the re-creation in the last two decades of the20thcentury under theelite culture context as well as the re-creation of recent two years under the culture context ofpublic consumption.Common aesthetic characteristics and general creation rules arerespectively reflected in the new and old four masterpieces TV series adaptation in terms ofplot adaptation, character remodeling and transformation from literature narration to TVplays narration.In line with the demand of realism,the four masterpieces adaptation in CCTVare faithful to the original work and express a culture attribute of TV literature and art classicsunder the elite culture context with regard to the integration and reconstruction of characterand plot as well as film expression of literature language. Comparing that the new four onesturn to romanticism and aestheticism. The aesthetic feature of fast food culture is embodiedunder the culture context of public consumption by adding dramatic constituents, reappearingthe visionary content in the original work,performing the love story in the original workcompletely and adapting the plot and detail of the original work to a greater extent.The artprinciples of four masterpieces adaptation and re-creation are faithfulness to the originalwork,utilization of multi-artistic literature pattern and development of artistic skills of TVplays.
