There has been found a new discovery in recent years that N170is in temporal andoccipital lobe, it related by Face structural features but no matters of faces’ gender, age, nation etc. This result reflects the face recognition cognitive model that been proposed byBruce-Young in1986. This study selected20students as subjects, health, right-handed,normal vision or corrected visual acuity. Aged18to30years old. Using Facegen Moeler3.1face generation software to generate the neutral face of Southeast Asia. On this basis, thePhotoshop CS33.0software make the faces Images into the lines of the face. Use E-primesoftware designed to generate experimental procedure. The first experiment results show thatface recognition N170were significantly greater than the house of the corresponding negativewave. This result reflects the specificity of face recognition processing. The original faceimages and the line of face images caused by the N170amplitude and latency no significantdifferences in the second experiment, shows that the spatial profile of the information canprovide valid information for face recognition. The identity and expression recognition havebeen separated by high-frequency spatial information but not in low-frequency spatialinformation. The real face could never appear by lines of contour, but it maybe affect theidentity recognition and expression recognition. If the differences between the real face andthe face under lines of contour can affect the process of face recognition is the point willstudy in this research.
