The Spread And Influence Of Song Dynasty Court Music

This thesis analyzes court music and its transmission of the Song Dynasty from theperspective of communication. The first section analyzes communicating environment of thecount music in the Song Dynasty. The second section discusses the evolution and influencefrom the court music institutions of the late Tang and Five Dynasties. The third section isabout the sources and the organizations of the Song Dynasty court music performers. Thefourth section mainly discusses the ritual contents and characters of the Ya-Yue(雅乐)，Yan-Yue（燕乐）and Gu-Chui-Yue（鼓吹乐），with the different ideas in each activities thatwas endued by the player. The last section summarizes the routes of transmission, as well asthe impact of the Song Dynasty court music.
